What's Up CIS

Reciting Quran with proper tajweed is one of the CIS learners’ profiles. Our currciculum required students to be able to recite Quran properly starts from Primary Grade 4, therefore we designed Quran class as one of the priority in our daily basis learning process. Taking 5 days in a week with 60 minutes per meeting, is a proof that CIS putting the highest concerns for students to possess these skills as an Islamic school student graduates.

Our pre Quran class is using UMMI as a method for students to start learning basic Quran recitation skills. Regularly, we held a training for the Quran teachers. The training aimed to provide the Quran teachers with adequate knowledge of UMMI method and recitation skills in accordance with the tajweed rules. May we always be gathered as prophet Muhammad’s (saw) companions that care to spread the spirit of learning Quran as he said that: The best of you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it.
