GRESIK – A solemn and deeply moving atmosphere filled the hall as hundreds of parents, teachers, and school management gathered for the annual grand event. Cendekia Islamic School (CIS) Primary Gresik, in collaboration with CIS Preschool Gresik, successfully held the Khotmul Qur’an, Hubbul Qur’an Wal Imtihan procession. This event serves as a crucial milestone and a tangible proof of the institution's commitment to nurturing a generation that is academically excellent and spiritually well-grounded from an early age.

The event commenced with a serene Khotmul Qur’an procession, where the students beautifully and melodiously recited verses from the Holy Qur'an. For the CIS Preschool level, the fluency in reading and reciting short chapters (surahs) demonstrated that a deep love for the Book of Allah (Hubbul Qur’an) can be successfully instilled even during the golden age. Meanwhile, CIS Primary students showcased significant competency by completing the study of several chapters (juz) alongside mastering the precise rules of tajwid throughout their primary school years.

The pinnacle of excitement and solemnity occurred during the Imtihan (Public Examination) session. Unlike conventional classroom exams, this public test challenged the students to be tested directly on stage. Parents, invited guests, and examiners were given the opportunity to randomly ask questions—ranging from completing a verses segment, guessing the name of the surah, to testing their understanding of tajwid rules and gharib.

Moments of profound emotion unfolded as CIS Preschool and Primary students answered each question confidently, fluently, and accurately. The students' success in passing this public evaluation triggered appreciative applause and tears of joy from parents who witnessed firsthand the fruits of their children's dedication.

In their remarks, the school management representative emphasized that the strong synergy between CIS Primary and CIS Preschool Gresik in implementing a systematic Qur'an learning method is the key to this success. The school aims not only for the children to be able to read, but also to build an emotional connection so that Qur'anic values are reflected in their daily character.

The event concluded with the presentation of syahadah (graduation certificates) and awards for the best-performing students.
