GRESIK – To maximize the blessings of the holy month, SD Chalidana Islamic School Gresik successfully organized a Ramadhan Camp held from March 12th to 13th, 2026. This two-day, one-night intensive program is a cornerstone of the school’s character-building curriculum, designed to foster independence and spiritual discipline in students from an early age.

Spiritual Milestones and Qur’anic Devotion

The event commenced with an official opening by the school administration, followed immediately by the main agenda: the Khataman Al-Qur’an (complete recitation of the Qur'an). During this session, the school guided students to complete their recitations together in a solemn and focused atmosphere. Furthermore, the program emphasized the habit of congregational prayers (Sholat berjamaah), Tarawih prayers, and bringing the night to life through Qiyamul Lail and Sahur (pre-dawn meal) together.

Fostering Empathy and Connecting with Alumni

Beyond personal spiritual rituals, SD Chalidana Islamic School Gresik encouraged students to engage directly with the community through Takjil distribution. This initiative aimed to instill a deep sense of social responsibility and empathy in every student.

A particularly inspiring highlight of the camp was the Sharing Session with Alumni. The school invited former graduates to share their experiences and provide motivation to their younger peers, which was followed by a warm and communal Iftar (breaking of the fast).

A Balance of Physical Wellness and Charity

On the second day, the school organized a morning exercise session to ensure the students remained physically fit and energized. As the pinnacle of the event, the school facilitated a Charity program as a concrete form of community service before the Ramadhan Camp 2026 officially concluded.

By hosting this Ramadhan Camp, SD Chalidana Islamic School Gresik hopes that the values of independence and the Qur'anic spirit practiced during the event will continue to resonate in the students' daily lives, both at school and at home.
