The Language Fair 2023 at Chalidana Islamic School Primary Juanda was a two-day event filled with cultural vibrancy and linguistic appreciation. Divided into Bahasa Indonesia Day and English Day, the event took place on the 1st and 2nd of November 2023, respectively.
To commemorate Indonesia National Heroes Day, all students and teachers adorned National Heroes Costumes, adding a patriotic touch to the event. The day's highlights included the prestigious Bung Tomo Speech Competition, a platform for students to showcase their oratory skills. Additionally, a Coloring Competition and an engaging Cosplay Competition further enriched the day's celebrations.
On the following day, the English Day was characterized by an array of dynamic activities. Students and teachers adorned captivating costumes inspired by various book characters, contributing to an atmosphere of creativity and literary enthusiasm. The day's program encompassed an assortment of student performances, ranging from soulful renditions of 'A Million Dreams' and 'We Sing Together' to expressive recitations of poetry and thought-provoking presentations. The day culminated with a Cross Culture Talkshow featuring Emmalani McCarthy, an American native speaker, who shared insights on cross-cultural communication and language learning.
